Erotic Comrade Unisex T-Shirt
Perhaps my ten years as a worker/owner of an anti-capitalist worker-owned co-operative sex store is showing, but, for me there is no higher compliment than being considered an erotic comrade.
During my time working at the co-op I developed a special bond with the philosophy and history of the Industrial Workers of the World - an international labour union from the early 20th century with radical socialist communist and anarchist roots. I very much feel that labour rights are linked to erotic rights (with the rights of sex workers and other erotic labourers firmly at the crux of this intersection). And, that the ‘sexual revolution’ (a term coined by somatics elder Wihelm Reich in the 1930s) is inextricably linked to the emancipation and re-imagination of class, race, and labour-based systemic oppressions.
One day, years ago, this design popped into my head - a propaganda poster with a fist (y'know - a sexytimes fist!) of erotic solidarity. I literally couldn't get it out of my mind, and, am so happy that now it's here!
If it feels right, perhaps it might be illuminating to learn about some labour rights histories that resonate with you. We're at a rich moment in an ongoing conversation about power, work and labour. Sometimes connecting with lineages of activism, challenge, and change can be supportive in understanding the struggles we might find ourselves in.
This soft t-shirt is durable, comfy, and ready to start some conversations. The Heather Grey option is 50/50 Cotton/Poly - all other designs are 100% Cotton.
Be sure to review the last image for a size chart & double check the size before ordering. Exchanges are costly and time consuming!
